Nearby trail system and your favorite trails?

Some of my favorite trails to ride my Tyaughton on are the Nitro trail system in Henderson and the Blue Diamond trails. These trails offer versatile flowy green and blue routes as well as some spicier black diamond trails, all of which the Tyaughton handles like a charm.

What do you ride (type of terrain)?  What's the intended use for your new bike?

Since I live in the desert and can mostly ride year-round, I built up my Tyaughton as a single speed cross country bike to work on increasing my bike fitness to prep for the DH season. There’s a ton of local trails that are super-climby, which forces me to become a better and stronger rider with only one gear option.

List your bike spec/build. Did you do anything custom to make it special?

Southwest Bikes worked hard to help me customize my bike to get every colour and component that I could dream of, and they built the bike for me. Not to brag or anything, but the entire build weighs only 22.13 pounds!!!

My fork is a blue RockShox SID Ultimate 120mm and the shock is.. oh wait, it’s a hardtail, there’s no shock!

I am running custom Industry 9 carbon wheels with alternating blue and silver spokes, Industry 9 front and rear hub, ceramic bearings, and Maxxis Rekon tires on the front and rear.

Knolly Bikes Tyaughton TitaniumI’m using Deity Skywire DarkRoom World Champ handlebars, Deity copperhead stem, Deity Speedtrap saddle, and Deity lockjaw grips.

For added blue accents, I have blue Hope Brakes. I also have a TruVativ Descendant TLD carbon crankset 170mm and a DT Swiss Star Ratchet Kit.

My gear ratio is 32x18, which makes the climbs slightly difficult, but on the flats and downhill sections, you aren’t completely spun out.

How tall are you? What size frame did you get? How does it fit you?

I am 5’8’’ and ordered a medium/S3 frame which is the perfect fit for me.

What do you love about your new bike?

First of all, have you seen the CNC machining on the frame?? Take a look at the pics, it’s absolutely stunning. I also love how light and playful the Tyaughton is. I built it up to be an unstoppable, soul-crushing single speed cross country machine and that’s exactly what it is!

Knolly Bikes Tyaughton TitaniumThe terrain in the desert is rocky, sandy, and rough, and the titanium frame gives me the stability and confidence to ride the bike like a full suspension setup.
Lastly, I love the fact that I somehow convinced my boyfriend and fellow Knolly Regional Athlete, Quinn Winter, to come to the single speed dark side and he built up his own Knolly Tyaughton Titanium SS frame!! Because couples who single speed together, stay together! <3
