Interview:

When did mountain biking become a way of life for you?

When I was 11. I had this big XC loop around my house I built and did laps on, and I meticulously maintained the trail: I swept it with a broom! Not kidding, it was the buffest thing ever.

Who do you respect in mountain biking?

It's easy to think about the top pros I've seen on TV but there are so many. For example this guy Thomas in Nelson, pretty much every time I was working on my trail this Summer he came riding by, like how many times did he ride my trail this year? Crazy... I for sure respect a lot of people you've heard of though: Lifecycles Crew, Coastal Crew, NRG Crew, Tom Pro, Schwartz brothers, Berrecloth, Dylan Tremblay.

What has been your favourite moment in mountain biking since you started riding?

Can't think of an exact favorite moment but there was this one Summer evening while riding 'The Monster' in Kaslo, BC during their jazz fesitval, it was the most ridiculous evening golden light and we were descending the ridge and could hear the music from the stage out on the lake super clearly, quite a unique moment on the bike.

Favourite bike film section and why?

I really like the section of Andreau Lacondquey from NWD 8 I think it is? He filmed on these jumps near Nelson and I was out there watching him and he is just such a nut, he was sending himself, no shirt on, just blowing the doors off the other riders, and his part in the movie really caught that; it start with him crashing and doing this big ditch; he is quite the savage kid.

Any shoutouts?

Shoutouts to my parents, brother, and sister for being such amazing people and for just being there. Family is the most imporant thing.
