Interview:
When did mountain biking become a way of life for you?
After playing 8 years of baseball I needed a change. From the day I bought my first mountain bike, about ten years ago, I was officially hooked - I would eat, sleep, and live bikes. Even to this day all I think about is what trail I could be riding right now, or a new feature I could build and ride.
Who do you respect in mountain biking?
The beginning of Freeride: Wade, Shandro, Thomas, Tippie. These were the guys I looked up to, and I dreamed about doing what they were doing. Now here I am, 10 years later, out rippin trails with some of them, and they still love what they do - that's pretty cool to see!
What has been your favourite moment in mountain biking since you started riding?
The day I won an over sized novelty cheque! Haha.
Who do you ride with regularly?
My 2 best bros, Dylan Dunkerton, and Kyle Norbraten. We are all so alike and always up to go for a ride when ever possible.
Favourite bike film section and why?
Kranked Revolve- Coastal Crew, not because I was in the segment, but because it was the first real video segment that displays the true reason why we ride our bikes (fun with your friends).
What do you have planned for next season?
Canada Cup DH circuit, Sea Otter, Crankworx, producing web content with the Coastal Crew, and everything in between.
Any shoutouts?
To the Coastal Crew and everyone who has helped me along the way.
